The correct selection and placement of CCTV cameras are integral in a professionally designed farm CCTV system. Securi-tek believes there isn't one single CCTV camera that can provide the correct image in all circumstances, a camera that has a wide-angle focal length would not provide a detailed image when positioned to cover a narrow driveway, similarly to a narrow focal length CCTV camera, would not provide the required image when positioned to cover a wide-open field or large farmyard.

Different surveillance targets require different percentages, for example, detecting the presence of a person in a CCTV cameras field of view could require that the person occupies 10% of the screen, However, Recognizing a known person could require that the person occupies more than 50% of the screen, even further, identifying that person could require 80% or more.
Another example would be a camera that has a wide-angle focal length would not provide a detailed image when positioned to cover a farm entrance to identify vehicle number plates, similarly to a narrow focal length CCTV camera, would not provide the required image when positioned to cover a farm machinery parking area.

We have been developing, installing and maintaining livestock monitoring systems for over 15 years, originally the first livestock monitoring CCTV system was installed within a poultry/broiler shed, installed within the control room, positioned to view the control panels, allowing the poultry farm manager to monitor the shed temperatures and alarm warning lights remotely from the farm office.

The Tripwire feature on our ultra-smart CCTV cameras allows you to draw a single line or multiple lines across a path or fence line, drive or gateway, in fact, you can draw a tripwire pretty much anywhere a person will cross onto your property, the tripwire can be configured to send an alert if a person crosses the invisible line a single way, either way or both ways.

The intrusion zone feature on our ultra-smart CCTV cameras allow you to draw a box or multiple boxes around objects, vehicles, machinery, in fact, you can draw intrusion zones pretty much anywhere, the intrusion zone can be configured to send an alert if an object enters the box or an object is removed from the box.

Active deterrent incorporates all of the above detection features built into our cameras, with active deterrents, however, users can enable the blue and red strobe lights after receiving notifications that movement has been detected.
The Ultra-Smart PTZ CCTV camera is capable of tracking the movement of objects within its field of view, other Ultra-Smart CCTV cameras can also be linked into the system, this allows the PTZ camera to concentrate its vision on a particular area, however, should one of the other linked Ultra-Smart CCTV cameras detect movement, the PTZ camera will be called in to track movement.
